Follow oil and associated gas from production in Basra through export, refining, power and final demand—then step back to see how that spatial detail becomes one national energy-system model.

Iraq is the system boundary

The story stays inside Iraq. We begin with one governorate to show how local detail is represented, then aggregate the same structure nationally.

What this communicates

Spatial detail, connected sectors, national decisions.

The Basra chain is intentionally representative rather than a facility inventory. National demand clusters and supply hubs simplify the accepted spatial model inputs into a readable public story. The optimisation currently balances Iraq nationally; the carrier corridors explain system relationships and are not pipeline or transmission claims.
